Bestevaer 62 Luskentyre

The custom Bestevaer 62 ‘Luskentyre’ is being build for an experienced couple from the UK. After sailing with a composite yacht for some years they decided they wanted something more sturdy and strong to also be able to explore more remote areas. However, they did not want to compromise on the looks and esthetics of the yacht. Luskentyre is a great combination of strength and looks.

The Bestevaer 62 ‘Luskentyre’ is the perfect combination of power and classical beauty. The interior was inspired by the East India trading ships of the past, creating a unique style. Modified oak was used for the furniture and the floor makes clever use of the characteristic wood from an authentic barn. Besides its outer beauty, the yacht features all the latest technologies such as a hybrid engine, water maker, A/C, a lift keel and carbon rigging. All carefully integrated in the design, and mainly hidden from view. And so the emphasis remains on the timeless style, without affecting the great comfort and functionality. The owners plan to undertake trips to both the far North and to warmer climates.

This yacht will be the first one by us built with an hybrid propulsion system.
